Studies in Western Australian History

Studies in Western Australian History is the pre-eminent refereed journal for research on Western Australian history. Published under its current name since 1977, it originated as University Studies in History and Economics which was first published by the University of WA in 1934.

Most issues of Studies are thematic and leading and emerging scholars contribute the high-quality articles. Themes include convictism, Aboriginal issues, citizenship, sport and society, woman's history, celebrations in Western Australian history and many more. While the articles focus on Western Australia, they also inform broader Australian history and may provide a different perspective to some well-know themes.

From the menu, select a specific issue to see a list of its contents or select 'Find Articles & Reviews' for a keyword search of the contents of all the issues.
